Taurus Season Horoscopes
These horoscopes are meant to be read for your rising sign. If you don’t know your rising sign, read for your sun sign if you were born during the day, and read for your moon sign if you were born after sunset or before sunrise.
Welcome Taurus season. Taurus season brings us Earth Day and 4/20. It's usually a time to sit back, eat some good food, enjoy nature, relax, and connect with the senses. This Taurus season is still an opportunity to do that, but it's going to be a bit more active and bring more change than this fixed earth sign might typically like.
For starters, we're in the middle of eclipse season with the lunar eclipse occurring occurring in Scorpio on May 5 at 10:34 am PST. This is a south node eclipse, which tends to have a purging or releasing effect, and it's a lunar eclipse, which means that it's really going to activate our emotions, and it's happening in Scorpio, where the moon doesn't really like to hang out to begin with. And it's ruled by Mars in Cancer--a sign where Mars doesn't typically like to be. Let's just say, everyone is probably going to be heavy into their feelings on this day. (And this isn't really a bad place to be even though it might not feel that comfy--feeling your feelings is really the only way to release difficult feelings).
We also have a Mercury retrograde this Taurus season with Mercury stationing retrograde on April 21 and going direct on May 14. Mercury is the messenger and rules technology. When it is retrograde, you can expect delays, missed emails, the text that didn't go through for whatever reason, technology that breaks, traffic jams, delayed flights and trains, and general mix ups. It's a little bit of an inconvenience. But it also delivers messages about the area of our lives that it's retrograding through, which can provide quite a bit of insight into how we might need to restructure that area of our life.
And to make this Taurus season extra Taurus-y, Jupiter is going to set up camp for about a year beginning on May 16. Traditionally, Jupiter is considered the great benefic--meaning that they typically bring some good luck. However, it also has an expansive quality to it, which means that it can expand both the good and the bad--it makes all things in this area of your life feel bigger or exaggerated.
The horoscopes that follow are focused on the part of your chart that contains Taurus. The upcoming thirty day period is a great time to hone in on this area of our life by using the Mercury retrograde to review it and to get clear on what we want to create in this area of our life, and then use the Jupiter ingress to set some intentions to implement what we gained clarity on during the Mercury retrograde. And while the eclipse might feel a bit gnarly, it's a great way to bring us back into balance since it happens in the area of our life that is directly opposite of the Taurus area of our life. In other words, what is it that needs to be released from the Scorpio area of our lives so that we can pursue the benefits of the Taurus area of our life? This doesn't necessarily mean that something will need to be cut off entirely. Rather, something likely needs to be recalibrated or rebalanced.
Aries Rising
Taurus season sheds a light onto your resources and self worth--both materially and intrinsically. On the most practical of levels, this is an opportunity to gain clarity around your finances. Honestly, it's hard to talk about finances in this capitalistic society. How are we supposed to budget our way to abundance when inflation is out of control and Millenials and Gen Z are virtually out of luck when it comes to home ownership, being debt free, and being able to retire? Perhaps this Mercury retrograde and Jupiter hanging out in this sign might make these feelings and challenges even more acute. Jupiter might expand our imaginations or sense of what is possible in this area of our lives. Jupiter also might bring a raise or a new business opportunity. Mercury could reveal some areas in your spending where maybe you aren't spending on things that you truly value.
The lunar eclipse might also have you scheming on ways to pay off your debt. Or maybe it will help you release some of the shame you have around your debt. It could also have you release the emotional energy that you expend on others that maybe you shouldn't.
Taurus Rising
This is the time to commit to yourself. Mercury is going to provide a very helpful overview of your life's direction and possibly your relationship with your body. Take care of your own needs and your own body without feeling guilty. This lunar eclipse might be an opportunity for you to release your tendency to put your significant others' needs before your own. Perhaps you'll learn that prioritizing your own needs isn't an act of selfishness, but that the greatest gift you can give to another is be unabashedly yourself and to tend to your own needs with the same care you pour into others.
Gemini Rising

The lunar eclipse might have you wanting to take a big break from all of the tasks we have to do to maintain our health or from the "work" that is required to live. It's okay to order takeout instead of cooking. It's okay to ask a friend or partner to help with chores around your home so that you can chill out. Prioritize your rest.
Cancer Rising

Taurus season sheds light onto your public life. Often times in Western culture, this gets wrapped up to mean only our careers. And while our careers are certainly part of our public life, our public life also speaks to our legacy, how we will be remembered, what we build for those who come after us, how our communities see us. Perhaps this Mercury retrograde is an opportunity for you to think about the ways in which you prioritize the pursuit of material wealth at the expense of building something that is sustainable, long lasting, and benefits a broader group of people. Regardless, Jupiter is sure to make you get some recognition in your chosen field.
The lunar eclipse might have you releasing some obligations on the home front. Perhaps this is parental expectations that you realize actually don't align with what you want, perhaps this is a childhood wound, perhaps it's your desire to be connected to a physical home base.
Virgo Rising

Sagittarius Rising
Taurus season is all about work, your health and your pets. Not the most exciting things, but the things that must be done to sustain ourselves. Pay attention to the details in these areas of your life as you may discover that certain things are unbalanced.
Attuning to these areas of your life may also be exhausting. This lunar eclipse will have you seeking rest and possibly some alone time. While you’re someone who is typically on the move and likes to do all of the things at once, listen to your body’s wisdom and take some to rejuvenate by yourself.
Capricorn Rising
Taurus season wants you to find and connect to your creativity. As a sign that is focused on tangible results and hard work, it might be difficult for you to see in the value in such “trivial” things. Aquarius Rising
Taurus season might have you feeling like a home body, redecorating your home, or attuning to childhood wounds. It’s okay to do a little less than you normally do. It’s okay to be a little less social. Use this time to explore how attuning to this area of your life provides you with a strong foundation from which you can embark into the world.
The lunar eclipse may highlight these themes as it may take a bit of the focus off of your public life. If you feel like you maybe don’t want to be out and seen right now, that’s totally fine.
Pisces Rising
While mercury retrograde usually brings attention to our communications, this is even more so for you because it is occurring in your third house. Maybe you’re finishing up a writing project. Maybe you are getting reacquainted with your neighborhood. Maybe you are catching up on the 200 plus unread text messages that glare at you every day.
The lunar eclipse might highlight the fact that attuning to these details might detract focus from some of your loftier ideas. Instead of coming up with grand international travel schemes, you may be more interested in a local road trip. This lunar eclipse might have you focusing more on the immediate instead of on the long term..
